◆ 1st on App Store, Spiritual Poetry Lal Qalandar an anthology of (Persian فارسی) mystic poetry by (Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar: حضرت لعل شهباز قلندر) with (Urdu اردو) translation ◆

Qalandar means Free of Boundaries. It is a common known fact that Qalandar could let himself free from the power of gravitational pull and hence used to fly and that is another reason why he was called (Shahbaz شهباز). Qalandar in his life taught people about the true Islam and mourning on Prophet’s Family. He taught people how to mourn. His lesson was not to leave Prophet Mohammad (saw), Imam Ali as, Prophet’s family and progeny (Ahl-ul-bait اهل بیت). In most of his teachings, which is clear from his poetry, he emphasized on following Imam Ali as and mourning for Imam-Al-Hussain (as).
Syed Mohammad Usman Marwandi commonly known as Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was born late in the twelfth century in 1177 in Marwand (Iran), now Afghanistan, to a noble Makhdum Syed Ibrahim Kabir-ud-Din Mujab, and his mother was a high-rank princess. He was also named Syed Shah Hussain by his father in love of Imam-Al-Hussain (as). He was born in the month of Sha’aban, 8th month in Islamic calendar. Hazrat Syed Ibrahim Kabir was caretaker of the Holy Shrine of Imam-Al-Hussain (as) and buried inside the Holy Shrine.
Syed Ibrahim Kabir-ud-Din Mujab used to talk to the King of Martyrs Imam-Al-Hussain (as) and used to get a reply in return, hence the name Mujab The one who is Answered (or whose prayers are answered). One day he was foretold, by Imam-Al-Hussain (as) in a lucid dream that as he was truly devoted and looked after the Shrine in a very good manner, Imam-Al-Hussain (as) ordered Syed Ibrahim Kabir-ud-Din Mujab to get married, and said he will be gifted with a (Falcon باز) which was gifted to our Grandfather Prophet Mohammad (saw) by Allah on (Meraj معراج)- the ascension of Prophet Mohammad (saw).
Hence Syed Ibrahim Kabir-ud-Din Mujab got married (at the age of 75 according to some sayings). After the birth of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar it is said that there was a festival held for 40 days. Qalandar was taught by his mother first and then he went on to Medina and spent some time there. After Medina he went to Karbala (Iraq) where he stayed at Holy Shrine of Imam-Al-Hussain (as). One day Qalandar saw Imam-Al-Hussain (as), Imam-Al-Hussain (as) ordered Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to go to Hindustan (Indo-Pak Subcontinent).
On receiving orders Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar left for Indo-Pak subcontinent. He entered through Makran and went on to Karachi. He stayed at the mausoleum of Syed Sadr-ud-din, Sukher (Sindh) and also with Surkh Syed Jalal-ud-din Bukhari of Uch sharif, Bahawalpur (Punjab) [1196-1294].
After Uch sharif Qalandar left for Multan, where he enlightened the people with the light of Islam, and taught them about Prophet Muhammad (saw) and Ahl-ul-Bait اهل بیت (as). King of Multan was also very impressed by Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s preaching and he also converted. After preaching into different cities in subcontinent Qalandar finally arrived in Sehwan. Where ever he went he preached teachings of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and Ahl-ul-Bait (as). When Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar arrived at Sehwan, Sehwan was the centre of evil.
In Sehwan, Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar had two disciples, Boodla Bahaar and Sachal Sarmast. Boodla Bahaar and Sachal Sarmast were appointed by Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar to preach inside the city and their duty was to go and stand in every nook and corner of the city and say Ali Haq (Imam Ali as is the ultimate Truth). His Shrine is in Sehwan, Sindh (Pakistan) where millions of believers, regardless of their religion and race, visit every year from all over the world.
